Hey Andy,
Here are very specific instructions on moving a library from one internal drive to another: There are a few steps to this process. First is to move your music from your old computer to the new one. Next is to move the ScratchLIVE folder from the 'My Music' folder (PC) or 'Music' folder (Mac) to the same location on the new computer. Last is to use the relocate lost files feature to calculate the location of the files on the new computer. Step 1: Move your music library. This pretty self explanatory. Copy your files to an external drive or put them on a cd/dvd to transport the files from the old computer to the next. Place the files on your new computer wherever your wanting them to live. Step 2: Move the ScratchLIVE folder. Like I stated above, move the ScratchLIVE folder from the 'My Music' folder (PC) or 'Music' folder (Mac) to the same location on the new computer. If you already have a ScratchLIVE folder on the new computer than replace it with this one. Step 3: Use the 'Relocate lost files' feature to have SSL find the files on your new drive. Note: First make sure to unplug the external drive you might have used to move your library from the old internal to the new one. Then.. 1. Open SSL. 2. Click on the 'files' tab. 3. Click on the 'relocate lost files' tab in the lower left corner of the 'files' window. That will find the location of the files on your drive and you should be good to go! Comments are closed.
